Capitalize on your well investment
Data acquired in wellbores is intricate, varied, and represents a significant investment. It is imperative to capitalize on that investment, whether you are working on your first deepwater exploration well or delivering a comprehensive drilling program in a shale gas play. With the Techlog wellbore software platform, you can bring all of your wellbore data into one highly intuitive application to carry out analyses. In addition to offering advanced modules for domain experts, the Techlog platform provides a solid foundation for generalist users to review and analyze the data. It supports complex workflows across multiple disciplines.
Leverage advanced technology in real time
The Techlog platform dynamically incorporates the latest data from the well site for review and detailed analysis. Data can be streamed directly from the well site for real-time processing and instantaneous analysis as the well is drilled, aiding decision making during operations.
Upscale with confidence
The best-in-class science delivered through the Techlog platform enables analysis of all available wellbore data at its acquisition scale and enables that data to be upscaled with confidence. A petrophysicist can leverage high-resolution data to examine the orientation of fractures as well as evaluating resistive qualities of those fractures to understand fluid flow in and around the wellbore. No longer are azimuthally sensitive log measurements required to “make do” with 2D displays. The Techlog platform provides new ways of visualizing the near-wellbore formation model.
Detailed 3D interpretations maximize the value of all the sophisticated data collected in modern wells. This single well model is then used to create a multiwell interpretation that provides the input to a simulation model to evaluate dynamic behavior in the reservoir.

Information:
Schlumberger, the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry worldwide, has presented Techlog 2015.3 Revision 158051, is platform intended to aggregate all the wellbore information.
It allows the user to interpret any log and core data. It addresses the need for a single platform able to support all the wellbore data and interpretation integration workflows, reducing the need for a multitude of highly specialized tools. By bringing the whole workflow into a single platform risk and uncertainty can be assessed throughout the life of the wellbore.
The 2015 release of the Techlog wellbore software platform features collaboration workflows with the Studio E&P knowledge environment, along with access to the Ocean framework, enabling development of Techlog applications. New functionality has also been added to enrich the Techlog platform in unconventionals and exploration geology.
Key updates of Techlog 2015:
– Studio environment
Techlog can now use the Studio environment, enabling multidisciplinary workflows and closer collaboration than ever before. This significant development promotes improved data integrity and administration. It also brings many of the popular features that Petrel users have enjoyed with the Studio environment, such as notifications, repositories and project browsers, and collaboration tools.
– Ocean framework
The Ocean framework has now arrived on the Techlog platform, bringing extensibility to Techlog through the oil industry’s most popular software development framework. This represents a step change in efficiency and scalability by opening up the platform to innovative plug-in applications from Schlumberger and third parties.
– Techlog platform
The Module Manager allows combinations of licenses to be saved, optimizing license usage across a company.
Rendering with decimation, decoupling the time to display single column logs from the data size. This reduces template loading times significantly.
A Contextual tab brings all available actions in front of the user in the form of a tab in the ribbon.
– Geomechanics
Anisotropic geomechanics enables the computation of horizontal stresses using Sonic cross-dipole measurements in vertical and horizontal wells. This allows the definition of the completion quality (CQ), which is an essential input for the design of hydraulic fracture operations.
– Geology
Geology mapping has been rejuvenated in 2015, bringing enhancements in usability, workflows, algorithms, and the ability to extract a correlation panel in LogView using a graphical engine.
The Wellbore Imaging module has been enhanced with five new tools in the Image Processing wizard, and the external release of Quanta Geo raw processing and Depth Matcher for automatic misalignment correction.
Dip picking can now be done in real time.
– Petrophysics
The 3D Petrophysics module has been enhanced with a Local Layer Modeling mode and EcoScope Neutron Fast Forward Modeling.
– Drilling
Drilling analysis has been updated to include an Operations Breakdown and a Drilling wizard for drilling performance and hole cleaning workflows.
– Geophysics
Rock physics capabilities include multimineral fluid substitution, shear velocity modeling, Backus upscaling and amplitude-versus-angle (AVA) analysis.
